Title:   Red Figure Pyxis Lid Fragment

Description:   Mended from two pieces. Slight molding sets off knob, of which almost half of lower part is preserved. Woman in ungirdled peplos holding lyre. Another woman, also wearing peplos, sits to left. Front of head of a third person at the break on the left. Partial relief contour.
Thin, unevenly fired glaze, inside also.
ADDENDA Probably knucklebone players (R. Sutton, Dec. '75).
