Title:   Black Figure Skyphos

Description:   Base preserved and a section of the wall up to the rim. The scene on either side is the same. A nude man reclining, his legs only preserved. In front of him a dancing girl with castanets, almost completely preserved on one side. She wears a long yellowish-white chiton with a wavy red line at the lower border. At the handles, twisted branches. Ivy on the rim. The regular white for the girl's flesh has almost all vanished. Red for her fillet, for alternate tongues below the picture, for a band on the ridge between the foot and body of the vase. The female figure is done in outline and the dress filled in with white. The left foot of the woman on A is indicated in white only.
