Title:   Red Figure Lebes Gamikos Fragments

Description:   a) Five joining fragments from the bottom of the bowl and upper part of foot. Bowl: rays(?). Foot: Egg and dart; palmettes, superimposed and circumscribed, alternating with lotus flowers; olive leaves and fruit band. Then head of a bearded man wearing wreath, to left. Above, name(?) ΕΙΟΛΕΟ, and to left [Σ]ΚΕΠΑΡΝΟΣ, but figure not preserved.
b) Two joining fragments from foot. Head of youth wearing wreath and golden circlet, to right, also chlamys and petasos; holds two spears with left hand, and extends right toward phiale held by female hand. Phiale decorated with a star pattern, and superimposed on a Doric column.
c) Single fragment from upper foot and part of the base of the bowl. Egg and dart zone, then circumscribed palmette band interrupted by oval-shaped hole, about half preserved.
Context:   "Dionysion", 2.00-3.00m. east of naiskos in superficial trench.
