Title:   Red Figure Skyphos Fragment: Type A

Description:   Mended from two pieces; the inside glazed. Preserved is the figure of a youth (trainer?) from chin to waist, wrapped in an himation which leaves his right side free. His right arm outstretched; his left holds a thin forked stick of the sort common in palaestra scenes. Relief contours and drapery lines; brown for the muscles and the end of the collarbone hook, and for a triangular fold line on himation over left shoulder.
Glaze of the best but a good deal has peeled off the drapery lines and at the left on either side of the arm.
