Title:   Red Figure Alabastron Fragments

Description:   Two pieces, not joining. Very slight vertical curve; thin fabric, unglazed inside.
a) Part of the drapery of two figures facing each other. The figure to the left leans on a staff and wears a voluminous himation, its edges bordered by a single line. His dog stands behind him, facing right, nose to the ground. The figure to the right wears a thin chiton with scalloped hemline and border of dots; over it, a bordered himation. Inscription between the figures.
b) Part of the feet of a figure standing left and a bit of scalloped bordered garment edge above. To the left, part of a staff. (Note the elaborate drawing of the ankles.) These feet do not seem to belong to either of the figures on fragment a).
Fine relief contours; brown for a few dots on the man's cloak and for the border outlined in black on the woman's. Red for the dog's collar and the "inscription".
