Title:   Bowl with Rouletting

Description:   African Red Slip Ware. Fairly fine reddish-brown clay; orange glaze inside and out. A narrow band of rouletting around the wide, flaring rim. One side of the bowl burned very dark.
ADDENDA Additional fragments found 1959 were catalogued P 26547 (Ι 1623) but were found to join (Hayes), making almost half the bowl. Fragments 3001 d) and e) belong to other vessels (discarded), Aug. 1961.
Restored in plaster.
Context:   Below floor of south tower, on stereo.
