Description: | Nine joining fragments preserve most of upper body, some of upper part of lower body, and one handle. Deep kantharos with concave upper body. Glazed groove above point of greatest diameter, just below lower handle attachment. Strap handle with ivy leaf thumb rest. On upper body antithetical tan dolphins alternate with white dot rosettes. Below, a wave pattern of tan diagonal slashes with white wavy line above. Metallic black glaze. | |
