Title:   Potter's Test Piece Fragment

Description:   Single fragment preserving portion of test piece, including one edge indicated by glaze (paint). Piece cut from the body and handle either of a large belly-handled amphora or krater (the former perhaps more likely?). Paint on interior and exterior thickly applied, much worn and with a tendency to flake; fired red. Interior probably decorated with vertically and horizontally intersecting lines. Traces of paint on exterior, including preserved edge.
Clay body and reserved surfaces evenly fired close to reddish-yellow and pink 7.5YR 7/6-7/4.
