Title:   Potter's Test Piece

Description:   Two joining fragments preserving portion of test piece including one edge and almost half of draw hole. Piece cut from the shoulder of a large closed vessel or from the lower body of an open or closed pot. Paint on interior, exterior and preserved edge fired red. Interior evidently painted solidly, but much worn. Traces of paint on exterior, extremely worn; scheme difficult to reconstruct (perhaps painted solidly?).
Clay body and surfaces fired close to pink and reddish-yellow 7.5YR 7/4-7/6.
