Description: | Two joining fragments preserving almost complete vessel, but missing part of rim. Wall cracked. Phaleron-type cup of the early 7th century BC. Very thin walls. Brown wash inside and out; series of four bands just under the interior rim. Horizontal stripes on handle, four short vertical stripes at junction with rim. Buff fabric, with brownish matte glaze. Glaze extremely worn. Cf. Agora VIII, no. 189. pl. 10. | |
