Title:   Reversible Lid: West Slope

Description:   Fragmentary; base and rim pieces are preserved but do not join. Restored in plaster. High flaring base ring, deep body, vertical rim; on the bottom within the base ring a star of four points alternately white and yellow. The glaze has been scratched from a groove around the bottom of the base ring; the side wall is bound above and below by a pair of grooves from which the glaze has been scratched; between the upper pair is a band of short transverse strokes in white paint; between the lower pair a line of dots probably in white; from the lower one spring slender rays alternately white and yellow.
Fine buff clay, metallic black glaze.
