Description:   Two rim fragments.
Narrow downturned rim, steep rounded wall.
Smooth buff-tan clay with orange-brown core; lime inclusions; dull reddish slip, slightly polished on exterior, bearing 'shadows' of added purple (?) paint (fugitive): leaf-band or splayed palmette (?) with a line below rim.
Red-slipped import, possibly S. Italian?
Context mid 1st c. A.D.+ (but may be residual-Hellenistic?).

Context:   Early Roman fill.
