Title:   Pithos Lid

Description:   A flat circular lid with two loop handles parallel to each other on its top and a cutting for lifting at its edge. Broken in antiquity, and mended with five lead clamps. When found, it had again come apart at the same point.
Pink clay, gritty, slipped buff on the outside. Unglazed.
Context:   Well, lower fill (Hellenistic).
