Title:   Amphora Fragment with Lid

Description:   a) The neck of an amphora with part of the shoulder and one handle. The neck, slightly concave in profile, widens as it goes up, ending in a flaring rounded lip. Straight vertical strap handles, shoulder to neck. Lip and two lines at base of neck. St. Andrew's crosses on handles in black glaze. On neck, front and back, a long vertical line above a rectangle crossed inside. Pinkish buff clay, heavy creamy slip.
b) Found inside fragment a) used as a lid; an amphora base, of similar fabric. High ring foot, glazed black on outside.
c) Further down, as a secondary stopper, another similar base.
Context:   Grave 3. Disturbed by cutting of well at 37/ΣΤ.
