Title:   Red Figure Bell Krater Fragment

Description:   Bell krater fragment; none of lip remains. Shiny black inside; a narrow reserved line below the rim. Dionysos stands facing, head left, holding the thyros in his left hand. He wears a chiton and himation; his hair falls in long curls over his shoulders. The satyr, in profile left, faces him. He is snub-nosed, bearded, and bald-headed, and plays on long double flutes. Relief contour for the satyr's profile and hands; white for his wreath; beard and hair run to brown.
