Title:   Plate Fragment with Paint Decoration

Description:   Fragment of a flat plate with high ring foot. On the inside, around the center, two bands of thin reddish brown glaze; springing from the center, a conventionalized tree.
ADDENDA This ware is common at Delphi and presumably came from that general region. About 6th. c. A.D. (JWH).
Context:   On road level with late Roman ware.
