Description:   Shape similar to P 4961 (Β 1291). Around bottom, wide band, then narrow one; handle zones set off by diagonally hatched bands between vertical lines. On body, each side, three metopes: a checkerboard pattern metope in the middle, flanked by four-leaved flowers, the leaves hatched, in the metopes right and left. Around lip, dots. On handles, bands and St. Andrew's crosses. Interior glazed except for lip band and dot at center of floor, reserved.
Slipped; dull black glaze, somewhat peeled.
ADDENDA P 4961: Flat-bottomed kantharos with convex body and plain lip; two high-looped vertical strap handles.
Context:   Grave 13. Standing upright beside neck of pithos P 4960 (Β 1290), to east.
