Title:   Black Glaze Stemless Cup or Bowl Fragments: Stamped

Description:   Ring foot; moulded line around outer wall.
Inside the foot, reserved, washed with pink, and decorated with black glazed circles and dot. At the center of the floor, a stamped palmette surrounded by linked palmettes, then egg pattern, then linked palmettes, and a circle of small double volutes made by tipping the stamp and using only the lower part.
A plain rim fragment has been added, from tin, giving full height of cup; plain ring foot. On outside of wall, shortly above the foot, is a lightly moulded ring.
Both the stamping and the style of manufacture appear to be the same as those of P 5248.
Clay pink to gray; good black glaze, reddish in places and somewhat peeled.
