Title:   Pyxis with Lid
Category:   Pottery
Description:   Mended from many fragments; three do not join; restored in plaster.
Pyxis: shallow body, decorated with zigzags, dots and broad and narrow bands. Low ring base, unpainted. Flange glazed, with one preserved string hole.
Lid: tall ridged handle, terminating in pyxis-shaped knob. On the lid, a row of dots between broad and narrow bands; around the knob, triple zigzag.
Pinkish-buff clay, grayed from burning. Brownish-black glaze.
Context:   Geometric burial.
