Title:   Black Figure Louterion Fragments

Description:   Fragments from a very large heavy krater(?), unglazed inside above shoulder. Around base of neck tongues, alternating black and purple. Below, part of an animal band: two sphinxes sejant, facing but with heads turned back. Behind the one to right, the head of a cock left. Added purple for wing bands, ribs and fillets of sphinxes, comb and wattles of cock.
b) From the shoulder. Large horizontal double handle, one loop, and a vertical tongue connecting it with the next loop, preserved. Black glaze save for a small area on inner face of handle
c) Another fragment from the shoulder, with parts of two handle attachments.
