Title:   Neck Amphora Fragments: Polychrome Ware

Description:   a) Mended from five pieces, preserves part of the neck and the start of the shoulder.
b) From the neck, above the shoulder.
c) From the mid-part of the neck.
d-e) From the neck just below the rim.
f-g) Uncertain, probably also from the neck.
The fragments preserve parts of two zones on the neck, probably both of lotus pattern. The lower zone painted in brownish black and purple on the clay ground, the upper in black and added white on a deep red ground(?). Wheel and vertical zigzag filling ornaments. Four narrow bands below the lip outside, one broad one inside, three above the shoulder. On the shoulder, narrow bands, remains of panel decoration.
Incision freely used.
Context:   Among stones in road surface. B' building fill, B- fill to north.
