Description: | Heavy flaring foot. The walls preserved to the shoulder at one point only; strengthened with plaster below. Horizontal handle, double. Decoration, from the top, series of concentric half circles, between zigzags. Three narrow bands, broad band, three narrow bands. Broad handle zone, with series of concentric circles, horizontal zigzag above and below. Three narrow bands; broad band; three narrow bands. Below unglazed. Cross stripes on the handle. Broken and mended in antiquity; holes for mending clamps remain. ADDENDA Severely broken in night-time accident. Removed for mending [14 July 1956]. Remended [April 1957]. | |
