Description: | All of the rim, and much of the upper wall missing, with fragments from body and foot. The lower attachments of both handles remain. Deep lower body; slightly convex upper wall set in from the body. Neatly moulded foot, similar to that of P 6947 (ΠΘ 733), but more carefully made. A scraped groove at its attachment to the body, around its lower edge, and underneath. On both sides of the wall, neatly painted in added clay, a garland of pairs of pointed leaves alternating with pairs of berries. Fine fabric; glaze dull but firm. Cf. Agora XII, no. 721. | |
