Description:   About two-thirds of the rim preserved, in two non-joining fragments.
a) Large piece of the neck.
b) Rim and start of neck only.
Rounded rim with reserved band decorated with crossed horizontal zigzags, the resulting lozenges dotted. The same between bands below the rim. Rectangular panels separated horizontally by triple bands, vertically by a hatched vertical maeander, running left (down). Top panel: at center, four-spoked wheel, fringed, with hourglasses beween spokes; dotted snake on each side; filling ornament, hourglasses and star. Below, a band with bearded goats with reserved and dotted eyes. Below part of a large panel with a horse right, and filling ornament.
Attic clay; glaze black to brown.
Dipylon Amphora.
ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ:   Απότμημα μεγάλου αμφορέως της ομάδας του Διπύλου. Φέρει πεδία με κοσμήματα μαιάνδρου και κύκλων χωρισμένων σε τέσσερα τεταρτημόρια, εντός των οποίων διακρίνονται κλεψύδρες. Κάτω από το χείλος διακρίνεται κυματιστή διακόσμηση.
