Title:   Red Figure Column Krater Fragment

Description:   Portions of the upper part only preserved, with about one-third of the rim and parts of both figured panels. Severely burnt, one side more than the other. Glazed inside except under shoulder; rim glazed on flat top; concave overhanging outer edge reserved, and decorated with an ivy band. The attachments of one handle preserved. Borders: above panels, tongue patterns; at sides, ivy bands.
A) Silens making wine. Parts of three figures preserved, around a large pithos, the central figure holding up a basket of purple grapes. Partial relief contours. Coarse work.
B) Komasts: at the right, the purple-wreathed head of a youth, left, and a hand; at the left, part of another head and hand.

e) Upper right side of panel from A.
f) Lower right corner of panel from A.
