Title:   Bowl with Rouletting, Relief Decoration and Maker's Stamp

Description:   Parts of rim and side wall missing; three fragments do not join. From the fairly wide low foot ring the body rises in two successive curves to the narrow turned over rim. The rim is rounded, with rouletting on top, and has two double spirals in relief applied opposite each other. The break in the wall is defined outside by shallow grooves, inside by a moulded ridge between two grooves; and a groove marks the start of the rim inside. There are two grooves in the lower bowl, one about half way up the side, one surrounding the foot-shaped stamp.

Fine hard brownish clay, red glaze inside and out.
