Title:   Red Figure Pelike Fragment

Description:   Fragment from neck and shoulder.
Beneath olive-leaf band, head and shoulders of wreathed, partly draped figure, to left. Carried in the left hand (not preserved) a long branch. In the field left, part of a torch; trace of some other object to right.
Relief outline for features and garment; remains of bright pink coloring on reserved areas, save garment and object to right, apparently covered with thin glaze wash.
Attic clay. Glaze mottled with gray; much chipped toward right side of fragment; inside glazed.
Context:   Well.
