Title:   Plate Fragment with Rouletting: Stamped

Description:   Late Roman C plate fragment mended from four pieces; none of rim or center of plate preserved, and about one-third of the decorated band lacking. Low ring foot.
Gritty light red clay, gray at core; covered all over with purplish-red wash.
ADDENDA Two joining sherds of decorated band added from Η' Box 12 = "Burnt deposit" (Nov. 1961, J.W.H.). Two joining rim sherds added Jan. 1964, one from Η' Box 12, one from Ε Box 230: vertical rim with three lines of rouletting on outside. Outer face fired gray. (J.W.H.).
