Title:   Red Figure Skyphos: Type A

Description:   Three fragments, mended from several, give the base and part of the rim and wall; both handles are missing and there is no join between the wall and base fragments. Restored in plaster. Goblet-type skyphos. Beneath either handle a large palmette flanked by scrolls; on either side a cloaked figure, one holding a large oval object, right, the other left, largely indistinguishable. The resting surface reserved and the space inside the foot, with a large rough glaze circle near the center. Remains of heavy red wash.
