Title:   Bowl Fragment

Description:   Mended from four fragments. Narrow flat rim, slightly projecting; beneath the lip, the attachment for one side of a horizontal handle with projecting tip.
Rim decorated on top with groups of narrow stripes. Below the rim, a broad zigzag line; beneath, a broad curving line, possibly the tail of an animal. Diamond fill ornaments. At lower edge of fragment, plain red band.
Pink clay. Glaze black, fired red on the left side of the fragment; bowl glazed inside, somewhat peeled.
Context:   Terracotta deposit.
