Description: | Almost exactly one-fourth of plate preserved. A plate with rather small, broad and very low foot ring, flat bottom and low rim, sharply up-turned. Near center are remains of a band of rouletting, set off by grooves. Fine flaky gray clay, very micaceous; black glaze much worn. Shape reminiscent of Pergamene, but fabric is decidedly Samian. | |
