Title: | Unguentarium Fragment
Category: | Pottery | |
Description: | Most of neck preserved and part of shoulder at one side. A simple cylindrical neck with turned-over lip. The shoulder appears to have been fairly flat. Fine pink clay, polished outside; the orange-red water-proofing of inside covers also most of the neck outside, but more dilute and so yellower. Fabric and color resemble so closely that of P 8480 and P 8481 that it is difficult to believe that this neck does not go with one or the other of the bases; probably with P 8480 (Ι 897). Cf. Agora V, p. 15, under no. F 50, pl. 2.
