Title:   Black Glaze Plate with Graffito

Description:   Fragment from center of heavy plate; ring foot preserved, nothing of rim [Max. Dim. 0.18]. Two broad shallow concentric grooves at center and another, marked by sharp narrow grooves, further out. Traces of stacking.
Graffito on inside: <graphic>
Dull firm glaze, somewhat mottled on the foot; resting surface and inside unglazed.
ADDENDA Many more fragments of the floor and bits of the broad double-curved rim (none of its edge) found in going through sherds. Restored in plaster (Rest. H. 0.065; Est. Diam. 0.46; Diam. (inner edge of rim) 0.355).
