Title:   Bowl Fragment: West Slope

Description:   Mended from many fragments; much missing. One small wall fragment does not join. A bowl similar in shape to the Megarian, but more spreading, and with the exterior covered with wheel-run grooves and ridges, the lowest of which forms a small low ring foot. Lip slightly out-turned. Decorated inside in white and clay color: on the floor, a double cross, large white petals between the arms, then a miltos groove. On the wall, above and below a white ribbon band, on one side vine, on the other ivy patterns; the division between the two marked by a large lyre.
Miltos groove just below the lip. Buff clay; glaze somewhat peeled.
Context:   Cistern, hard earth.
