Title:   Black Figure Neck Amphora Fragments

Description:   Broken all around. Fragments from shoulder of smallish round closed pot; interior unglazed.
On a) Dionysos, right, being carried(?). Red for his beard and stripes on his garment; white for his drinking horn, a patch on his shoulder, and one toward his lower part (lower right edge of fragment). In the field, a branch. At left of fragment, face of a Satyr, right (red beard). Note the red in the short incised strokes along upper edge of his hair. Red also in incised strokes along lower edge of Dionysos' beard and in part of lines separating beard from face.
On b) a Maenad, right, looking back left; white for her flesh; red for fillet (vanished). Handle ornament at right. Tongues above; vine in field.
