Title: | Red Figure Lebes Gamikos Fragment (?)
Description: | At the left, the head and neck of a woman, right; at the right, the tip of a wing. White for the woman's flesh; added clay for her earrings, and necklace; and for the wing-feathers. Brown overdrawing on the white. Careful work. Similar style to that of P 49, but more careful. The fabric is much thinner than that of the other fragments which may be from the lebetes, and this piece may come from a different shaped pot. If the absence of glaze inside were not conclusive, it would well suit an oinochoe.
