Title: | Head Fragment of Female Figure
Category: | Sculpture | |
Description: | The head broken off at the chin, the face obliterated; back very rough. The hair is drawn back from the face in a loose waving roll and a lock hangs down on either side of the neck. The top of the head behind the roll of hair is only roughly blocked out, and this, together with the fact that at the back the head ends in a rough rounded projection, suggests that it may have come from a relief. Pentelic marble.
