Description: | The right upper arm of a statue in the Archaic manner, a kore, buttoned into a crinkly garment, himation. Lower front part preserved of socket, perhaps for a separately added forearm. The inside of the arm not preserved, probably of a piece with the body. Ridges of folds of slight elevation; effect produced chiefly by groove between. Island, probably Parian, marble. | |
