Title:   Relief Fragment with Asklepios

Description:   Part of bottom and left border preserved. Head and neck of figure missing.
Male figure leaning on staff. Chest and right arm naked, draped to ankles elsewhere. Right arm held across body, grasping left arm above the wrist. Left leg crossed in front of right at ankle. Traces of serpent coiled around staff. Drilled hole at back and another along broken edge, apparently for clamp and dowel repair in antiquity. Very rough-picked on back.
Generally good workmanship where original surface preserved.
Good white marble, perhaps Pentelic.
Context:   Abandonment debris of Peristyle, Roman House H.
