Title:   Grave Relief of Man and Child

Description:   Broken at top and bottom, rough-picked on sides and back and on lower, bearing surface.
The relief is set back in a frame which is projecting more below. It shows a man at the right, with an himation wrapped around his hips. He carries a purse in his left hand and a strigil in his right. At the left a child advances left, looking back, wearing a short chiton and carrying a large palm branch. Across the top are traces of an inscription: ΑΡΙΣΤΟΜΕΝΗΣ
Pentelic marble.
Notes:   Previously Upper Colonnade-North End.
Context:   Trench M, as a cover for a pithos.
