Title:   Ornamental Hydria Loutrophoros Fragment

Description:   Broken at the top and probably below.
There are two cuttings for separately made handles, now missing, on opposite sides of the shoulder just above the guilloche band and at right angles to the back handle. The handle is decorated with the relief of a kantharos leaf. The missing neck rose from a disc-shaped attachment ring decorated with a scallop pattern around its perimeter. The lower body and shoulder are decorated with tongues separated by ridges and divided by a guilloche encircling the body at its widest point.
Fine grained white marble with mica.
Context:   Among sepulchral marbles in garden west of Hephaisteion.
