Title:   Statuette of Venus Genetrix Type

Description:   Head, right arm and feet missing.
Standing woman, draped in long, loose chiton, pinned on the right shoulder, and himation. The left shoulder is nude; the folds of the cloak are gathered over the left arm, which is bent at the elbow. The lower part of the forearm, doweled on separately below the elbow, is missing. The weight rests on the left leg, and the right knee is advanced. The right arm was held up, probably holding an end of the drapery. Down the back are the shallow folds of the heavy mantle, which is what is held up in the right hand.
