Description: | Roman grave monument, broken away above. Bottom, back and sides preserved. Rough-picked behind. Face A shows a draped male figure, in high relief, standing front, with weight on left foot and right arm concealed in his himation. The head and shoulders are missing. The relief is enclosed in a plain frame. On the back of this monument (Face B) has been rudely cut, in very low relief, a herm, of which the head has been chipped away. Cf. S 545 (Ξ 327). Pentelic marble. | |
