Description:   A rectangular panel with heraldic design in low relief; the left side broken away.
The central design is framed by a band of palmettes across the top, of floras scrolls on the side and bottom. In the center, two peacocks, back to back, separated by a stem with fruit on top; the stem rises out of the leaves (acanthus?) on which the birds stand. The heads of both birds are turned towards the center; the one at right is picking on the fruit; the one at left has head turned down with beak against his neck.
Byzantine.
Pentelic marble.
