Description:   Whole jar much mended; no groove preserved, the tip is rough beneath
but apparently was this shape when fired (grey core in the pot wall
section not on the bottom, as would be the case if broken off to
present unconventional shape).

Circular stamps wiith forepart of lion.
Notes:   Frg: nt that SS 06613 is a restored jar which bears the same stp
on both hdls (and both hdls belong); may have been by error; but
otherwise - are explanations of v large nr of impressions of this
type, compared w/ other forepart of lion types (VG, 26.vii.49)*
