Title:   Standing Male Figurine
Category:   Terracotta
Description:   Standing male figurine-Satyr-wearing short skirt of leaves fastened with a girdle; hands on hips; fragment of hair or drapery on right shoulder.
Mended from two pieces. Missing: the head from the base of neck; arms, right leg from thigh, left leg below knee, and part of the back.
A large oval opening (vent hole) occupies most of the back. Projections above and below it and considerable remains of black glaze on around its edges suggest the figure may have been attached to a plastic vase.
Firm white with faint traces of pink over, on the flesh; grayish green for the leaves; red on girdle.
Hard fabric; pale buff clay.
