Description: | Mended from numerous pieces. Missing are fragments of front middle area and hemline, much of back from below shoulder to hemline. Moulded, hollow. Back unmodelled. Woman standing with right arm bent upward, left arm at side holding drapery to her side. Dressed in chiton and himation with himation wrapped over both arms. Head moulded separatelly. Hair drawn straight from forehead backward in melon waves to crown of braids on back of head. Body modelling very cursory. Soft, pinkish-buff clay with traces of white paint. ADDENDA Damaged February 1972: broken into several new pieces, subsequently mended as much as possible. | |
