Title:   Ram Figurine Fragment
Category:   Terracotta
Description:   Ram 's head.
Broken away at the neck, behind, and at the top; the tip of the left horn is gone, also the lower part of the muzzle. Mended from four fragments.
The head of the ram is quite well modelled and is covered with a thick white engobe over which are traces of red.
The animal may have formed part of a group, as there are traces of attachment at the left horn and the white engobe has been merely smeared on the top of the head, as though the whole surface did not show. It may also have been part of a pot, with the rim projecting over the back part of the head of the ram.
Pinkish clay, not very fine.
Context:   Just above classical floor.
