Page 176-177: Baskets 131-137 run from 7.75 to 9.40. From 7.75 to 9.40 we have a use filling, apparently all contemporary- joins were noted from all levels. One character of the fill is made clear by its contents: mostly jugs of coarse cooking-ware fabric and the fragments so numerous that many could be made up whole or nearly so. At least three large basket-fulls of this coarse pottery was discarded. The use filling had relatively few fragments of the finer glazed ware and almost no lamps except one catalogued. The inventoried skyphos (C-1960-280) is similar to fragments of here found in the dumped filling in Basket 117, but seems earlier than skyphos fragments found from the baskets after 117. The one filling can [illegible] be dated by the lamps in the second half of the 4th century to first quarter of the third (lamps of the type VII- agora type 25B). The upper dumped filling contained much cooking ware of relatively fine fabric, though little that mended up; also much coarse pottery (from storage jars) and roof-tile fragments- as least a dozen full baskets of this discarded. Also in the dumped fill a rather large number of small frags. [sic] of wall stucco, mostly painted red (stored with Lot 575). The use fill (#131-137) produced many jugs which had had mastic inside.
