| Notes: | B88 is the continuation fo the fill from Well 2002-2 which is approx. 75 cm east of Gr. 2002-11. The soil is yellowish brown sandy clay with red inclusions. There are 5% pebbles, 1% angular subrounded cobbles and rare boulders up to 45 cm wide. During the excavation of this basket, the large fragment of sarcophagus lid (from Gr. 2002-11) was removed. Several rooftiles, in large fragments, were also found. We are retaining 10% of the soil for wet sieving and 90% for dry sieving. However for this basket this method was less accurately followed due to the removal of the the sarcophagus lid. Some soil was discarded because it was contaminated by soil from the surrounding area. The basket was changed arbitrarily after it was dug for approx. 50 cm. Two zembils of rooftiles were kept and sent in with the ceramics. | |
